Columbus, Ohio-based duo The Slang aim to make an impression with their self-titled debut EP which was released at the beginning of September.

The five-song set introduces listeners to a duo that proves they know how to hook someone in.
The hooking begins in the first few seconds of “Far From Over” with a very catchy guitar lick which is soon accompanied by other instruments that give it a very pleasantly unpolished sound. When you first hear the vocals of John Bobo, who plays a majority of the instruments on the EP, they seem a little bland against the music at first, but gradually they manage to fit right in.
